No, the Giants didn’t get embarrassed on Thanksgiving in Dallas.
But they lost again nonetheless. So they’re 2-10 and have dropped seven straight games.

Which means coach Brian Daboll is 8-21 since the start of last season. He is 17-28-1 overall in the regular season — a .380 winning percentage that is the fifth-worst in franchise history.
If the Giants lose at home to the Saints next week, Daboll’s career regular season winning percentage with the Giants would drop to .372. That would put him fourth-worst all-time in team history, ahead of John McVay (.378).
It also would mean three straight hires by co-owners John Mara and Steve Tisch would be second, third, and fourth on that list — Pat Shurmur (.281), Joe Judge (.303), and Daboll. Bill Arnsparger is No. 1 (.200).
Still, Daboll said after Thursday’s game that he isn’t concerned about his job security, in the final weeks of his disastrous third season. (Third-year general manager Joe Schoen also could get fired.)
“No,” Daboll said. “I don’t like the results. Nobody likes the results. But I have confidence in the people. We’ve just got to do better.”
Well, yeah.
Mara said last month that he wasn’t going to make any changes during the season and didn’t “anticipate” making any after the season either. But “anticipate” left the door open.
If the Giants got blown out in Dallas — instead of losing 27-20 — it wouldn’t be a surprise if ownership canned Daboll (and maybe Schoen) on Black Friday. The Giants entered Thanksgiving having suffered two straight embarrassing losses (on both sides of their bye week) — 20-17 in overtime to the woeful Panthers in Munich and 30-7 last week at home to the Buccaneers.
After that Bucs blowout, players’ comments in the postgame locker room sure made it seem like this team is finished with Daboll. The Giants played better in Dallas — though that’s a low bar to clear. But the reality is, the Giants had four straight winnable games (Panthers, Bucs, Cowboys, and Saints). And they’re now 0-3 in that stretch. It’s hard to imagine Daboll staying after 2-15.
