A pedestrian was killed after being hit by an SUV along Route 9 in Howell on Saturday, authorities said.
The 71-year-old Howell man was struck on the southbound side of the highway near Strickland Road shortly before 7:45 p.m. Saturday, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and will be publicly identified after his family is notified, authorities said.
